Pedicure

The pedicure room at Ketyswit Beauty sits on the second floor of T1 Mall at Peterburi tee 2 — in a separate cabin area that gives you privacy from the moment you slip off your shoes to the final layer of polish setting. Three certified specialists complete annual updates in Estonian hygiene regulations and medical-pedicure techniques, looking after every client’s toes, calluses and foot skin. Pricing starts at €40 for a classic care pedicure — gel polish, partial toe treatment with gel, design and paraffin SPA on top depending on your foot’s state. Every client gets a fresh single-use file pack and an autoclaved e-file bit because the microflora on foot skin is more sensitive than on hands.

No-polish pedicure €40 / 45 min – 1 h
Pedicure with gel polish €50 / 1 h 30 min
Toe treatment with gel polish €40 / 1 h – 1 h 30 min
Design €2–5 / 15–20 min
SPA paraffin treatment €10 / 10–15 min

What we offer

The price list has five core rows that cover regular maintenance plus specific cases. No-polish pedicure €40 is a classic dry pedicure: nail shaping, cuticle work, sole e-filing and moisturising. The choice when you prefer natural nails or you need foot skin care before sandal season. Pedicure with gel polish €50 adds a gel polish coat over the same base — and gel polish stays on toes for 5–7 weeks on average (toe nails grow slower than fingers). Toe treatment with gel polish €40 is a lighter version — just nail shaping, light cuticle work and gel, without sole work. Good for a quick refresh during summer. Design €2–5 per toe nail for art or graphic detail. SPA paraffin treatment €10 adds a warm moisturising paraffin bath that softens the skin and leaves feet exceptionally smooth.

The pedicure process

The session opens with an evaluation of feet and nails — the specialist asks how long since the last pedicure, whether there are cuts, ingrown nails or heavy calluses. Feet are washed first in a hygiene wash basin; we use individual single-use wash pads, not a shared foot bath. In the dry pedicure technique we work the soles with an e-file (Promed or Hadewe) that removes callus without water softening — a 80% reduction in infection risk compared to the old water-pedicure approach. Nails shaped with a file or e-file according to the nail state. Cuticle removed with softener and a scalpel (junior specialist: cuticle pusher only). Soles moisturised; if the client booked gel polish — three layers: base, colour, gloss top. Each layer cures under the LED lamp for 30–60 seconds. The whole session runs from 45 minutes (toe treatment) to 1 h 30 min (full pedicure + gel polish).

Hygiene and sterilisation

Pedicure is stricter on hygiene than manicure because the skin and microflora on feet are more aggressive and nail injuries are less obvious. Our hygiene model: dry pedicure instead of water soak (lower infection risk), fresh single-use files and foot pads for every client, e-file bits run through autoclave at 134 °C (the indicator strip changes colour on the right cycle), scalpel blades single-use (opened in front of the client). EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009 certified moisturisers and disinfectants. The pedicure specialist wears a fresh pair of gloves per client and swaps the support cloth. If a client’s feet show infection risk (open wound, severe fungal infection), we refer them to a podiatrist or dermatologist before the treatment — this protects the next visitor as well.

Gel polish longevity on toe nails

Gel polish on toe nails stays put for 5–7 weeks on average (toe nails grow 1–1.5 mm per month, finger nails 3–4 mm), so the “growth line” appears late. Wear socks and shoes for 60 minutes after the session — gel polish finishes polymerising in that window. Frequent washing, summer sandal activity, sauna or spa above 40 °C can shorten the lifespan by 2–3 weeks. Wearing closed slippers in warm conditions (over 25 °C) creates a moist environment around the nail that softens the gel polish — in summer we recommend changing socks every other day and using foot talc. Removal in the salon takes 20–30 minutes with specialist acetone and finishes with a nourishing cuticle oil.

Aftercare

In the first hour avoid shoes and socks, especially closed sport shoes — gel polish needs the second crosslinking layer to set. At home every 2 days use foot oil or balm (sweet almond, jojoba) on soles and around nails. If calluses come back — that’s normal when you walk 4–6 km a day in tight shoes. Use a callus spray once a week after the evening shower; it keeps the callus soft. In summer change socks at least once a day — a damp sock environment softens gel polish and invites fungal infection. If you notice an early ingrown nail — book straight away; we treat it in 10–15 minutes at the early stage without surgical intervention.

Why Ketyswit

Pedicure specialisation — we do not run “everything-in-one” specialists; the pedicure is delivered by a dedicated specialist who sees 30+ feet per day and recognises callus stages on sight. Promed Lifestyle e-file system — German-made, the same gear used by medical-pedicure centres; quiet, 35 000 rpm, self-cooling air. Separate cabin — the three pedicure chairs sit in their own room, you don’t have to sit in front of other clients or split the specialist’s attention. Healthy-nail guidance for clients who need follow-up — referral to medical pedicure if we see early onychomycosis. Pricing from €40 — comparable T1 area salons sit at €35–45, but 60% of our clients have stayed with the same specialist for five years or more.

FAQ

Do you do medical pedicure? Not formally — but every specialist refers clients to the T1 medical-pedicure centre when we see onychomycosis, a split nail or ingrown nail at a stage that needs a surgeon. Our first evaluation is always free.

Should I bring a callus file? No, all tools are on us. Single-use files, pads, scalpel — every item opened in front of the client.

Is pedicure safe during pregnancy? Yes. We do recommend consulting your doctor if the pregnancy is high-risk. The pedicure chairs adjust for comfort during months 7–9.

Does gel polish hold up in sandals? Yes, even better than in closed shoes — less friction on the nail surface. We recommend sun cream around the nails because UV can shift the polish tone slightly after six weeks.

Can I come in for an ingrown nail? Yes — at an early stage we treat it in 10–15 minutes (€5 add-on). At a late stage (pus, pain) we refer to a surgeon.

2026 seasonal trends and sandal summer

Summer pedicure palette 2026 — light cream-pink, warm coral tones, and classic red (Pantone 2024 Peach Fuzz + 2025 Mocha Mousse rotation). French pedicure is back with a thin 0.8 mm white tip — pairs with formal sandals. HEMA-free gel polishes are a 2026 trend for allergy-sensitive clients; we keep them on a dedicated shelf and the specialist swaps tools before using them. Open sandals mean total cuticle visibility — do you prefer a translucent natural tone or an expressive colour? In summer heat we lean towards low-decorative polishes (matte top coat) that don’t reflect sunlight and don’t cause surface overheating around the nail.

Material provenance

Every polish and prep solution we use is EU-produced — OPI, CND, Kodi, Luxio, Kapous (whose pedicure bases hold up better on athletic clients) — all registered under EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009. Promed Lifestyle e-file is German engineering, the same kit orthopaedists in Tallinn hospital use. Henry Schein sterilisation pouches with EN 13060 certification for the autoclave. Aesculap scalpel blades as single-use units. Acetone, moisturisers and creams all with full INCI composition available on request — if you avoid a specific aldehyde or paraben, tell the specialist and we’ll pick a safe range. We do not stock Indian or Chinese new-brand pedicure polishes; we have seen allergy and toe-nail delamination on clients who tried them at home.
