Lash lamination in Tallinn: everything you need to know

A strong lash curl opens up the eyes and makes the face look fresh — the effect most people chase every morning with a curler and mascara. Lash lamination does that work for you: your own lashes are lifted from the root and set into a clean curl that holds for weeks. Below I explain honestly what the treatment is, how the session goes, how long it lasts and who it suits most.

What is lash lamination?

Lash lamination is a treatment that lifts your own lashes from the root and gives them an even curl. A softening solution briefly makes the lash structure pliable, the stylist sets the lashes on a silicone shield in the shape you want, and a setting solution locks the new curl. The result is lashes that look longer and fuller, with nothing glued on.

Lamination is often confused with lash extensions, but they are two different things. Extensions glue an artificial fibre onto each lash; lamination works only with your natural lashes and adds no weight. If you like, we add a Refectocil tint to the lash lamination, which darkens the lashes and makes the effect even bolder.

How does the treatment work?

A session takes around 45–60 minutes, and you spend it lying with your eyes closed — many clients simply rest.

  1. Consultation. The stylist looks at the length and density of your lashes and chooses the shield size that gives you a natural or a more dramatic curl.
  2. Cleansing. The lashes are cleaned of makeup and oil so the solution sits evenly.
  3. Lifting. The lashes are set on a silicone shield and a softening solution is applied to prepare them for shaping.
  4. Setting. A second solution locks the new curl in place.
  5. Tint. If you wish, the lashes are tinted with Refectocil so they look darker and fuller.
  6. Care. A keratin serum is applied at the end to nourish the lashes and keep them healthy.

The treatment is painless. The only thing that matters is keeping your eyes closed during the session so the solution stays out of the eye.

How long does the result last?

The effect of lash lamination lasts on average 6–8 weeks — exactly as long as your natural lash growth cycle. As an old lash sheds and a new one grows in, the curl fades with it, so the effect does not drop off suddenly but eases out gently. We recommend a repeat session roughly every six weeks.

How to care for your lashes afterwards?

The first 24 hours matter most — during that time keep the lashes dry and avoid steam and the sauna, as the solution needs time to set fully. After that, a simple routine is enough:

  • Keep oil-based removers and creams off the lash line — oil softens the hold.
  • Brush your lashes each morning with a clean spoolie so the curl stays even.
  • Apply a lash serum or oil a couple of times a week to keep the lashes strong.
  • If you can, avoid sleeping face-down on the first night so the curl sets.

Who is lash lamination for?

Lamination suits almost everyone, but those who gain the most are people whose lashes are straight, point downward or are simply long but lack a curl. It is also a good choice if you want a shorter morning routine — no daily curler or mascara needed. And if you want to frame the eyes fully, brow lamination pairs beautifully with lash lamination, and the combo price works out better.

We do not advise the treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or when the skin around the eyes is irritated. For sensitive skin or a previous reaction, we run a small patch test before the session — safety comes first for us.

How much does lash lamination cost?

Lash lamination at the Ketyswit salon costs €35 and includes cleansing, lifting, lamination and a nourishing keratin serum. A Refectocil tint can be added for €5. If you want to do both lashes and brows at once, the combo at €60 is the best value and saves €10 compared with booking them separately. You can pick a time that suits you in our online booking.

Frequently asked questions

Does lash lamination damage the lashes?

Done correctly, the treatment does not damage the lashes. We use quality solutions and finish the session with a nourishing keratin serum. The key is to keep to the recommended interval and not laminate too often.

What is the difference between lamination and extensions?

Lamination lifts and curls your own lashes and adds no weight. Extensions glue an artificial fibre onto each lash. Lamination needs less upkeep and fewer touch-ups.

Can I wear mascara after lamination?

Yes, after the first 24 hours you can use mascara if you wish. Most of the time you will not need it — laminated and tinted lashes already look dark and full.

How long does the session take?

A session takes around 45–60 minutes. If you do brow lamination at the same time, plan for about 90 minutes.
